several - i discovered this absolute gem by @shotzgoboom, this gorgeous art by @transformersluna and also i loved all of @hinata-boke's "every day a haikyuu character, but these three were my favorites

12 - favorite fic of the year

again, a few. on tumblr there were three tword fics i absolutely loved this year: Corruption by @giggly-squiggily, this tickletober fic by @ticklygiggles and Oh, how the mighty fall by @parkersaysthings. I also found two absolutely amazing works on ao3 you should definitely check out: Watching As I Fall by @streetsoldierin and the knife on my back has your name in it, your hands are stained with my blood, we call love and violence by the same name by @ffslynch-ao3.

My pronouns are they/them. Fandoms are haikyuu, tears of themis and txt. I would prefer a romantic matchup and my MBTI is ENFP. I am a Sagittarius (sun,mercury &venus) Leo Moon and Aquarius (Rising & Mars). What I value most in a relationship is emotional support, teamwork and communication. I always liked people with gentle eyes or eyes that are the most noticeable part of someone. Anyone with an aura that comes off shy and introverted but still sure of themselves is very attractive to me. Personality would be someone who’s kindness + sincerity + integrity shines through even if they are a bit apprehensive towards people or situations. Big heart energy, if I must say.

My personality is I am a good balance of emotions and logic. I love making people laugh and loosen up and I’m always ready to lend an ear. Sincerity is my favourite attribute in someone so it’s what I try to be everyday. The therapist friend and mom of the group most times. Troubles can weigh on me for days but I always remain optimistic despite. I am an ambivert with more introverted hobbies like writing, watching new shows and finding new music, reading poetry & non fiction, taking long walks and learning new languages.

Currently I am in a degree studying Cognitive Science with a minor in Computer Science. Random things that are very dear to me are my dogs, early mornings, my dark blue windbreaker, fruits and the 2001 movie, Artificial Intelligence. Sugawara:

I instantly thought Suga was a great match for you because you said you like someone with gentle eyes and I just LOVE Sugawara’s eyes. They look so comforting, like you can just open up to him about your deepest darkest secrets and he’d listen unconditionally.

Study dates are in your future with Suga, I’m not sure if he’s incredibly smart, but I’m pretty sure he isn’t failing like our beloved Tanaka or Kageyama lol. So you’d both have tons of study dates, though he does get distracted MANY times by your beauty and just stares at you with loving eyes until you catch him and make him focus on his work again. Cute~ He appreciates how intelligent you are, but also how laid back you can be. You’re the only person who’s ever really there for him so the fact that you can also listen to his worries and make him feel better on his bad days is so so special to him. He’d go out of his way to show you little signs of his thanks–nothing crazy, just things like bringing you flowers, buying you breakfast in the morning before your classes, little things to show he was thinking of you!

3am’s with Sugawara:

For some reason, I headcanon that this man can’t stay up late for the life of him

So 3am’s with Suga are delirious; he’s just rambling on about something and isn’t fully making sense, so you’re just laughing at him and he gets pouty because his half-awake self thinks you’re making fun of him

You had proposed the idea of a sleepover to him, and he was really trying his best to stay awake

Cue him jolting up and running to the bathroom to throw cold water over his face every few minutes

You do try and tell him that it’s okay for him to just fall asleep, but he refuses, he NEEDS to stay awake

Mission failed though because he does end up falling asleep as you just admire his sleeping face, deciding to end your attempt at an all nighter and just sleep with him as well

He does wake up early though and uses the time to admire you as you sleep

Soobin:

Okay so I had originally had Taehyun as my first choice, but after months of letting this matchup sit, I thought Soobin would be a better choice. Now excuse me if any of this is wrong, it’s been a long time since I delved into anything-txt-related, but I do still keep up with their music. I just haven’t had time to watch their other stuff SIGH. But again the eyes part made me choose him. Soobin has the cutest, most gentlest eyes in the whole world. Literally if he ever looks at me and asks me for anything, I’d have to give it to him, how can you say no? And let me just say, he definitely uses that to his advantage.

With the boys he’s a cheeky menace, but with you, he’s just so incredibly sweet (but still has his playful moments whenever he isn’t being shy). I’d like to think he’d be a gentleman with his s/o and treat them with so much love and care. He loves how intelligent you are and likes to watch you study instead of doing any studying himself lol. Really soft with you.

3a.m’s with Soobin:

I think he’s used to staying up late so being up at this time is no issue for him

He’ll think of something fun for the two of you to do together, whether it be playing games, or making a late night meal if you’re craving it

I picture cute convenience store runs as you both giggle in the dark of the night, as if only the two of you exist in the world–not a worry in sight

Soobin is more of a listener, so when you return to the comfort of your bed, he looks in awe at everything you tell him, listening to every little detail and jumping in to respond whenever it feels right to do so

It’s like staying up late with your best friend

You both make a bet on who can stay up the longest, whoever falls asleep first has to buy the other food the next day–something cute like that

Overall, it’s a fun night

Luke:

Your very own golden retriever, protective boyfriend. Shy, yet confident Luke, he’s perfect for you. He’d love your dogs, since I’m pretty sure he’s a dog person–love that. He’s a detective (and very in-shape) so he loves going on morning walks with you and your dogs. Early mornings are his favorite time of day to spend with you, seeing your face each morning is like the equivalent of drinking coffee for other people.

He’s typically busy with work, but whenever he’s free, he loves watching movies with you and just staying home to spend lots of time with you doing all your favorite things. He’s fascinated that you love learning different languages so he probably asks you to teach him a new word each day just so he can be included in that part of your life. In return he’ll let you in on some detective secrets (nothing classified though, sorry).

3a.m’s with Luke:

I need to replay every chapter of tot i swear

But I think Luke is the type to stay up late doing detective work (research and thinking things through) so he’s used to staying up

On the rare free nights that he gets, he’d feel super relaxed finally not having any work to do so he might feel a little drowsy as he listens to you chat about your day and other little things that come to your mind

He listens to every word though, refusing to fall asleep and leave you speaking to yourself

Use this opportunity to get him to say cute things without a filter, he’s usually not as confident with his words of affection when he’s wide awake (even though he does really care for you, he’s not fully used to it yet)

Throws the covers over the two of you and cuddles into you

Doesn’t fall asleep until you do first, no matter how tired he is

Not that thrilling, but definitely still tons of fun

1. Everything. Whether it's his story, his way of thinking and acting, the fact that he prioritizes his family and always places himself second after them. The fact that he would do anything for them, like lose his humanity if it meant saving them. It's admirable and at the same time stupid, because he is like that. He always takes all the responsibilities on his shoulders, he even blames himself for the things he shouldn't blame himself for because he couldn't do anything about it.

2. That he sacrificed his humanity to save his family in cat16. He took the sword without hesitation even if it was dangerous and even if it meant that he would cease to be completely human. Also, he doesn't know how to cook lmao.

3. I don't know if it's real but the cigarette. In an art from a wit studio artbook, he smokes and it's disgusting lmao. Don't smoke, it's lame and bad so Guren stop that, you jerk.

4. Something peaceful, because the world of seraph of the end is much too scary and hurtful. Maybe a sports manga, it's calmer like Haikyuu. I do not really know.

5. Oh wow, uh it's a French music called "Dépassé" so in English "Overwhelmed" in this sense. It's about someone who is overwhelmed by time, so it strongly reminds me of Guren and it hurts me lmao. I planned to make a post to put the lyrics of the song in English. All the music reminds me of Guren. But then, I always imagine it on absolutely all the music I listen to and it's often kpop. Kpop girl group music suits him well lmao. Like every time Snake from Medusa comes on in my music, I imagine him dancing to it. And it's very funny.

6. Almost the same haircut lmao. Otherwise I don't think I have anything in common with him, I just admire him a lot. Maybe the link with family? Like, that's the most important thing to us. Also, keeping secrets.

7. Some explore Guren's complex personality and it's interesting. Also the teasing. And the incorrect quotes are funny.

8. Spit on him every time he appears in a pannel. Read cat16 and most of your arguments lose their value.

9. Yes, his snoring won't bother me I guess and neither will eating curry every day.

10. Yeah, but he better not sacrifice himself for me like he does with his family.

11. No, it's weird. Go with Shinya, Kureto or Mahiru, it doesn't matter.

12. Ticklish. It would just be funny to see.

13. I don't have one, and I don't even know if Guren would use emojis. Bro doesn't have time.

14. I don't know all the names for fashion aesthetics, but I think he would wear sweats, joggers, things like that. Simple things, jeans, shirts and t-shirts. Although I also imagine it with a trench coat. I think whatever he decides to wear, it will look good on him. 💅

15. Well, I have three and it depends on my mood of the day: KureGure, ShinGure and MahiRen. Then, there are ships that I prefer to keep secret 👁

16. I don't really have any but I think my least favorite are Guren/Ferid and Guren/Mito. I like Ferid (like, i don't hâte him) et I like Mito, but not these ships yk.

17. Hmm idk. Maybe Guren/Sayuri or Guren/Shigure. I really don't know.

18. It's totally okay lmao. Technically MahiRen is canon, I guess? I like Guren, I like Mahiru, I like MahiRen so it's okayyyy

19. Idk. Apart from Mahiru, he has no other relationships.

20. Guren and his entire team, including Yuu. He loves his family the same way.

21. Mmh well act out my ideas in my head, write down information about it. But my least favorite part is just writing the fic lmao, it's hard and it's long and often I'm not satisfied.

22. For me, roles mean a lot because of my preferences so I pay attention to tags often. If there's a tag I don't like, I just don't click.

24. I didn't find any characters there right away, so I don't know. Maybe a little Eren Jaeger? For always prioritizing his family and accepting to lose his humanity for them, becoming the “bad guy” in their eyes to protect them.

25. I started with the anime and he immediately became my favorite character. I found him a really cool character. Now I have read his story, the mangas and novels, I am up to date in the scans, I read the interviews etc about him, and I was surprised to learn about all this suffering, because in the anime , we do not see it. So now I love him more than ever. He has become my favorite character in any manga, I like his whole personality, his story, his feelings, his thoughts, everything. And his hair is really cool lmao. My impression is that he is a boy who loves and cherishes those close to him, who would be ready to destroy himself for them. And he made mistakes, yes, and he did everything to fix them. He has to make choices he didn't originally want to make but he did, for his family. He's always desperately trying to save the world when it wasn't his place to do it, he wants to protect everyone but he's just a pretty simple boy, he can't do it alone.

Hello! In celebration accumulating over 290 bookmarks on my AO3 account featuring IwaOi, Haikyuu S4 part 2, and @haikyuuweek2020 (Day 7 - Free Choice), I decided to create a masterlist of all of my favorite Iwaoi fics in order to keep myself organized as well as contributing to more traffic for those works! Fluff, angst with happy end. Anything that ends well, even if the ending is open, it just needs to have a glimmer of hope in there.

well, both? i aspire to be a planner, end up being a pantser most of the time. I just let my characters take me where they want to.

7. one shot or multi-chapter?

One shot, multi chaptered (even though i have my Voir Dire series) makes me feel bad when i can’t meet the posting schedule.

8. what is the perfect chapter length in your opinion?

10k-30k? Depends on a lot of things (that is for one shots though) as a chapter i would say 5k

9. what is your longest published story? is it complete?

Voir Dire as it is a chaptered fic, stands at 27k at the moment and it is not finished (got a long way to go) but my one shots, the longest is my yoongi hogwarts au one which is 13k (for now-they seem to be getting longer)

10. which story did you enjoy working on the most?

tough one, i enjoy all of them, each has left their mark on me and helped me grow and experience things, but if i had to pick i would say Voir Dire as it made me do a lot of research plus mafia au has always been something i have wanted to write or sleeposal! It was only a drabble but working on it has been such a fun experience for me!

11. favourite request you’ve have written and why (if any?)

there is one coming out soon, it was an arranged marriage au yoongi which was meant to be a drabble, and it ended up a 12k one shot.

12. are there reoccurring themes in your stories?

i had to ask the person who has read the most of my stories about this because i try to not have any reocurring themes if i can help it, i like to diversify depending on the story. and seems like i have succeeded somehow, i think?

13. current number of wips?

mostly collabs for now this monts is quite collab heavy, and some drabble requests but i think the other ones that i have planned equal all those in number so i would have to say in between a lot and a lot

14. three things you have noticed about your own writing?

i have a lot of expressions i use repeatedly throughout my fics (i am trying to get better at that), i have improved on the heaviness of the plots and emotions quite a bit and my grammar (always gotta be careful with that), i also like metaphors...like...a lot

I was quite proud of this one, it’s a drabble called i wish you knew

Haikyuu Quote Time: part 13

"When you're hungry, and you eat a small mouthful of something...it makes you even hungrier." - Osamu Miya

Every person develops from the moment they step foot into this world until they leave one day their own special way to interact with the world.

With experience, our personality thrives bit by bit as we explore the things we love or hate, the people we adore and can’t live without or the ones we would rather never see again. That exploration leaves us with our own special do’s and don’ts, a mark that we can leave on the world or an image that protrudes when others think of us.

In Haikyuu!! season four, we are first introduced to the Miya twins when coach Ukai shows Karasuno what kind of team they will be playing against. In that instance we learn about the idolized setter Miya Atsumu and his twin brother Osamu who were one of the biggest threats they were going to face.

Along the lines of the season, we learned bit by bit more about the characters displayed and therefore also more and more interaction between the twins. While they seem very calm and collected from the outside, they show a familiarity that is uncanny.

In this post we will look at Osamu’s words to Atsumu as he watches Hinata exhibit something he calls hunger, but does he really just mean the natural instinct when we need sustenance?

As mentioned before, Atsumu and Osamu are constantly in a close relationship to one another, one that is simply very representative of how siblings interact. They constantly bicker and throw mean comments at each other’s heads, as Osamu doesn’t hesitate to call Atsumu out on his high and mighty behaviour, while Atsumu doesn’t relent on pushing his brother to the utmost limit.

Osamu even mentions that he doesn’t really trust his brother, as he lies and steals his stuff without asking and never listens to reason. They’ve also had their fights and fair share of dark moments, but what does not stop is the gravitation pulls them together again, showing their extremely well written sibling relationship.

Siblings just sometimes communicate in a weird way, and from the outside it might look completely freaky, but it simply seems to work as at the end of day they just have that shared thought process.

So when Osamu sees Hinata gleefully look at his team and cheer them up after his great receive, Osamu compares it to eating rice.

This time even his twin is confused, as to why his brother is thinking of rice all the time but Osamu explains quickly, that it is just something you will never get bored of. Your appetite brings you to want to eat, and even though you might get satisfied for a moment you “start feeling hungry again straight after”.

While the elaborate explanation of what makes you hungry and how rice is a seemingly unshakable food item one can’t go without, might be strange even to Atsumu. Osamu continues to show the similarities of Hinata and relentless hunger.

It’s his own special way to equate that feeling of getting hungry to playing volleyball, because that is just Osamu’s way to see life around him. It’s an instinctive reaction, something that stems from his own experience of loving food and the way it makes him feel just as happy and satisfied every single time.

He looks at Hinata who doesn’t care if the team just got blocked or lost a point, but only at the fact that he just received a great spike and would love to do it again and again until he is satisfied. This insatiable hunger for playing volleyball is all Osamu can see when he takes a glimpse of Hinata.

It might sound ridiculous to use a food metaphor in a high stakes volleyball game, but again like mentioned before, everybody sees the world in a different lense. We use comparisons and metaphors to make known of what we experience and how we explain it shows a lot about our character.

Atsumu listened to his brother’s musings and made a side comment on how content he looks whenever he eats anything, even if it is a cold meal. This not only shows us that Osamu loves the satisfaction food brings him, but also that his brother understands what he’s trying to say.

When you eat something, as in when you finally after all of your hard work get something just right, and you only eat a mouthful, you get hungrier.

1. what fandoms have you written for (but do not currently)?

omg lets see if i can do this in order. i think the first fandom i ever wrote fanfic for was creepypasta LMAOO and then... fairy tail? then 5 seconds of summer, then maybe it 2017?? voltron legendary defender, detroit become human, monster prom and mystic messenger kind of overlapped, the arcana !!! then my hero academia, haikyuu, a Little bit of demon slayer... i think thats it lol

2. what fandoms are you currently writing for?

seventeen is all for rn, but i’m thinking of also writing for mha again and adding jjk!!

3. how long have you been writing?

oh wow for like... probably around 6 years? maybe 6 and a half

4. on which platforms do you post your stories?

rn just tumblr, i used to post more actively on ao3 but i havent since i started writing for kpop

5. what is your favourite genre to write?

ahhh like !!! comfort fics!!! i think theres something really sweet in those unspoken feelings during moments you think you’ll never forget... the idea of being with someone and you’re just so sure they’re your favorite person, and then warmth that comes with that realization... wahh

6. are you a pantser or a planner?

oh it depends i think. for longer fics i like to plan them out, but i really wing it with like timestamps or shorter ones

7. one shot or multi-chapter?

ONE SHOTS. my god i fucking suck at multi-chapter shit LMAOO ive only done 1 series like that and it was so rough for me lol

8. what is the perfect chapter length in your opinion?

hm how do i explain this... anything that makes sense? however long it takes for it to feel like the chapter/fic is summed up or completed. i used to worry about word counts a lot but now i rarely pay attention to them, both in reading and writing

9. what is your longest published story? is it complete?

if we’re talking about multi-chaptered, then the color of you wins at 17k !! in terms of one shots, it’s for now; forever at 9k!

10. which story did you enjoy working on the most?

oh boy. i think... anything from the last like. 8 months? my svt stuff for sure!! i went a while without writing in between like january-late november 2020, and i was worried that my writing would suffer a lot... it took a sec for me to get back into the groove of things but i’m feeling happier than ever with the stuff i write now. i feel like ive matured about the way i approach my own writing and ideas, and how i do everything, and my fics make me really proud. ive started writing within different aus that i hadnt touched before, or talking about different feelings or ideas, etc... i really feel like ive grown with this most recent burst lol, and i love working on them! i get so hyped up when im in the middle of writing or even planning, im just so excited to share all of it hehe

11. favorite request you've have written and why (if any?)

ah its been so long since ive worked with requests that i cant remember anything LOL

12. are there reoccurring themes in your stories?

yes. it is comfort and content. it is the feeling of love. it is holding hands on a walk in the middle of spring and smelling flowers. it is the sound of leaves when a gust of wind blows past. it is looking into ur lovers eyes and feeling nothing but pure fondness

13. current number of wips?

fuck like somewhere around 20 probably

14. three things you have noticed about your own writing?

i really like repetition (specifically in sentences if that makes sense??), LOTS of unspoken things (even if i picture a fic with an established relationship, i dont say it within the fic; and especially concerning romantic feelings, i love when things go unsaid and are FELT full force), i think a lot of detailed rambling... i really like to try and describe emotions and stuff in the most abstract and obscure ways lol i feel like it makes things a little more palpable and honest

15. a quote you like from a published story

im gonna do a few. Lol. firstly this long one from pretend people can unlearn:

“Are you…” Jeonghan starts, and when you look at him, his eyes are still on the city in front of you. “Are you ever afraid that we’ll fall out of love?”

It never occurred to you that this was love. It’s not like the love you’ve experienced in the past, not even close. But maybe… maybe that’s why you never leave, why you hold yourself back from certain arguments like it might fix everything. Maybe love is the reason why Jeonghan still seems to believe in you. Why he promises he’ll be the best thing for you despite always breaking that promise.

(Is it love, a voice in your head questions, or is it longing?)

It takes you a while to respond. “I don’t know,” you end up saying, because you really don’t. Jeonghan turns his head and looks at you, and you half expect him to start an argument in the middle of night, out on the street like this. It wouldn’t be the first time. “Would that… be okay?”

“I don’t know,” Jeonghan answers, just like you. His voice is soft. You want to reach for his hand just to hold it. “You’re still…”

He pauses, like he’s trying to find the right word. You let him take his time, for once, instead of accusing him of the worst. “I’m still?”

“Everything,” he tells you. He looks so sad and you reach out for him because it’s the only thing you can offer. You think the worst thing about your relationship with Jeonghan is that you will always believe him when he gets like this, just like you’ll believe him when he takes it back in the heat of a fight.

But you’re crying into his chest because it’s not you, and it’s not him. Seungcheol wonders if it was always meant to be like this, if the two of you were always meant to part or if something… if something just went wrong, somewhere. A bump that did a bit more damage than either of you thought.

He tries not to think about it now. Tears fill his own eyes as he presses a kiss to your hair because he loved you. He truly did.

“I was so lucky to love you,” he murmurs, voice a cracked whisper. “I’m so happy I got the chance.”

When Seungcheol wakes up the next morning in an empty bed, he’s not surprised. But the Post-It note that’s dressed in your handwriting…

Well. It’s over.

“This will always be our own time,” he says. “We’ll meet here.”

You know. He says it every time. It never fails to make your heart soar.

“Our thirteenth month,” you say, just like every time. Chan smiles.

He kisses you so strong you feel yourself falling.

16. a quote from an unpublished story

ahh ok ill do a few here too!!! one is something ive begun writing, the other is one that i’ve just been working on planning out <3

Smoke blows past somebody else’s lips and partially obstructs Wonwoo’s view of you.

He hasn’t been to a party like this in a long time. It’s elegant, more of a gala than anything. He can’t remember who threw it or for what reason. It doesn’t really matter, he supposes, watching you make conversation with the partygoers. They all have old money to throw around, the symbolism stitched into their suit jackets and red-rimmed heels; remnants of it left on tables and in the contents of expensive cigars.

You play them like you are one of them, tell them the right things with a silver tongue. Wonwoo always watches, plays the part of an observer. It’s impressive, the way you float around the room like it’s nothing.

Wonwoo observes; Wonwoo knows things.

and the second one...

"you don't know me," you respond. your voice carries no bite, just a fact, and joshua knows this

"i want to," he says after a second. "if you'll let me."

and he's asking permission to be your friend, to be close to you, something so tender and strangely polite

it makes you feel almost sad

"don't expect too much," you say, a little teasing. joshua only smiles

17. space for you to say something to your readers

wahhh thank you all so much!!! when i first got into writing for kpop it was a lot different mostly because i think... i was writing stuff for different anime before, and i had built up a big following because of that and my works always did like, really exceptional in terms of notes and feedback and such, and getting into kpop... has been rough on that end 💀 but i appreciate your support thus far, even if it’s small... i’m still working towards a standard that i have for myself!!! so please be patient with me, thank you for the support !!
